Fundamentally, the Internet and the World Wide Web are designed for sharing information. However, the information needs to be worthwhile and easily understood.

Pages on this site contain useful chunks of information. There should never be too much information on a single page, but visitors to the site should be able to read an entire chunk without needing to click. Depending on the size of the page and the characteristics of the visitor's computer hardware, this may require scrolling. This is generally a more effective method than breaking information into arbitrary pieces simply because the length extends beyond one screen.

Especially now, when scrolling mice are more prevalent, it does not make sense to force users to click through multiple pages of an article, just because all the text will not fit within one screen. If information belongs together, it stays together.
